Marshall Lindsey’s extensive background in financial services has fuelled his strong commitment to assisting creditworthy enterprises in enhancing their access to capital resources, enabling their sustainable growth. He specializes in crafting transactional solutions, particularly leveraging structured credit techniques employed in municipal security and asset-backed securities (ABS) markets, to broaden clients’ access to capital with favorable terms. This includes assisting sovereigns, sub-sovereigns and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs; especially for balance sheet securitizations). An example of his work includes the Cash Collateral Financing Program, which helps minority- and women-owned business enterprises access debt capital and lower their interest rate. His doctoral research centered on the influence of climate change on markets and sustainable cities, leading him to routinely integrate considerations of human resilience into his financial approach. With a substantial foundation in engineering, Lindsey possesses the capacity to innovatively assess intricate global corporate challenges and craft transformative solutions, especially those sensitive to sustainability and ESG issues.
Professionally, Marshall is an accomplished capital markets professional and engineer, with industry experience spanning energy infrastructure, investment banking and consulting sectors. Currently at Regiment Securities, an investment bank and broker dealer headquartered in Chicago, Marshall oversees deal execution and underwriting of numerous credit and equity transactions (FINRA Series 79 and 63 licensed). His prior experience includes working with multiple startups, focused on energy infrastructure and financial services, as well as with larger infrastructure-focused companies like ARUP and BP.
Marshall holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Case Western University, an MBA and MS in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon, and a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Northwestern University. His published doctoral research focused on climate change and sustainable cities and transportation issues. Marshall is also a Professor in Practice in the Department of Music at University at Buffalo where he teaches a course alongside his wife Melissa White, a professional violinist, that overlays entrepreneurship and enterprise development concepts with passionate artistic pursuit. Additionally, he advises multiple startups and mature companies on growth strategy and market resilience.
A fluent Spanish speaker, Angus has spent significant time working in the areas of law and corporate finance in both Spain and Chile. His experience and network of trusted introducers in both Spain and Latin America are integral to OALA’s ability to source high quality capital raising opportunities.
Angus’s background is in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions. He is experienced in advising on and executing cross-border M&A transactions, with a particular focus on acting for private equity sponsors on leveraged buy-outs in the sectors of Technology, Business Services, Consumer and FMCG.
Mehmet N’Diaye is the founder, Chairman & CEO of Imaad Holding, a diversified investment group with interests in Finance, Construction, Green Mobility & Software Development. Mehmet is also the CEO of Imaad Capital Partners, an investment bank and PPP project developer specializing in Sovereign Financing, Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and financial consulting, based in Abidjan, and present in 5 African countries. Mehmet has more than twelve years of experience in the fields of infrastructure financing, capital markets, structured financing, and commodity trading.
Mehmet graduated with a BsC. Honor in Mathematics and Actuarial Sciences, option Finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, an MBA in Strategic Management and Business Intelligence from the School of Economic Warfare (EGE) in Paris, a Certificate in Radical Innovation from MIT and an Executive Certificate in Alternative Investments from the Harvard Business School (HBS)..
Mehmet currently serves as the Secretary in charge of financing for the National Chamber of Approved Real Estate Promoters and Developers of Côte d’Ivoire (CNPC-CI).
Lawrence is an experienced professional with a career history of delivering exceptional outcomes to clients in a diverse range of industries. Lawrence most recently has worked with Aviation finance company, utilising his financial and management expertise to implement and execute projects across the company where he manages the product portfolio.
Lawrence’s capital markets expertise has been gained through executing primary and secondary market transactions at institutions ranging from Investment banks, Brokerages and an advisory boutique. Initially sitting at the european equities and fixed income desks of Nomura and RBC respectively before moving to the commodities brokerage Marex Spectron to set up their european physical coal and LPG derivatives desks. Lawrence’s time at the advisory boutique TD Afrique enabled him to execute trade finance deals within an African context with a particular focus on Agricultural and Oil Market transactions.
As one of the directors of L&L Global, a trade finance and commodities consultancy, Lawrence has focused on assisting Sub-Saharan African companies with sourcing trade finance, commodities trading and capital raising solutions. This has included facilitating a $15M agricultural financing deal in Uganda, advising on a $130m 60MW solar project for Madagascar and introducing a Ghanaian trucking company with a Kuwaiti petroleum firm for a contract of 15,000kt of Gasoil a month.
Lawrence Kitaka holds a Master’s degree (MiF) in Finance from London Business School and a BSc. (Hons.) in Banking and International Finance from Bayes business School (formerly Cass Business School).
Olutobi is the Managing Director of O&O and leads the distribution function of the business. He has experience across multiple disciplines within finance.
He began his career at one of the world’s leading interdealer brokers, TP ICAP, where he helped set up and establish the world’s first IDB Sub-Saharan African-focused FX and Fixed Income Trading desk, trading a number of products between local African and international banks. Following this, he transitioned to the EM Eurobond desk, trading securities with international financiers looking to take risk in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa.
Olutobi led the formation of TP ICAP’s first Primary Issuance Distribution desk to raise capital from public & private issuers. In 2016, Olutobi set up an African-focused corporate finance boutique, based in Mauritius, which supports businesses and governments across the continent with their capital raising initiatives.
A serial entrepreneur, having founded O&O Global Ltd in 2019, the group now comprises of three businesses; OALA, a European-based, business strategy consultant that supports small to medium-sized businesses in Latin America in the process of raising capital. Yoru Factor, an invoice discounting platform that supports SMEs with working capital solutions. Both of which run alongside the African corporate finance activities of O&O.
During his career, Olutobi has been part of execution teams that have raised over USD$450 million for businesses and governments in Emerging and Frontier Markets.
